Career Cohort

College of Engineering students can enroll in a voluntary program to provide a professional development jumpstart. The goal of the career cohorts is to prepare Spartan Engineers for their internship/co-op search.

The Cohort Program

  • Cohorts will consist of a small group of students (~20-25) with two upperclassmen mentors.

  • Students will engage in 6 sessions focused on topics including:

    • Strengths and skills assessment

    • Career exploration 

    • Leadership development

    • Writing value centric resumes and cover letters

    • Interviewing

    • Networking

  • Highly engaged students will be invited to participate in an exclusive networking event with company representatives upon completion of the program.

  • There is no cost to participate in the career cohort program.

  • Fall semester cohorts typically run early/mid October – Thanksgiving. Spring semester cohorts typically run late January – Spring Break.  

Student Eligiabilty

  • The career cohort is open to all College of Engineering students in their first or second year. 

  • Interested students above their second year can contact Rachel for approval.
